How To Cure Cancer

There are so many things to talk about when it comes to the subject of the beneficial effects of water that this should be a multi-part article or perhaps even a book. I will try to keep things as brief as possible by providing links and making short comments about each link. That way, you can determine for yourself what you want to take out of this. I hope you read this article completely before you start trying out the many links, because you may never find your way back here! Feel free to jump to different subtitles that you find the most interesting, as you may not be as interested in everything.

Cancer Research is not Working

I wrote an article called last year called “The War on Cancer” that you can link to at:

http://www.waterfyi.com/alkaline-water/diseases/cancer/war-on/

The focus of the article is that despite the fact that trillions of dollars have been spent on cancer research, your chances of survival of a cancer diagnosis are only 5% better today that they were 60 years ago. At the same time, the improvement in other major diseases is about 60%. Why is that? The bottom line is that the pharmaceutical companies and the medical profession are not trying to cure cancer. I know that is difficult to believe, but it is true. Almost every hospital in the USA would have to shut down if they didn’t have the revenue from cancer treatment. As far as the pharmas are concerned, making people healthy is simply not good business.

Dr. Mercola, the online marketing guru of health supplements has a huge following because people like the fact that he challenges conventional medicine and the pharma industry. I’m not a fan of the man because his “good deeds” almost always come with a sales pitch attached. While many of Dr. Mercola’s efforts annoy me, his recent article on the subject of “Boycotting the American Cancer Society” is a good piece and he spares us the sales pitch this time. The following link to Dr. Mercola’s recent article is a worthwhile read:

Great success is being achieved from other cancer treatments

One of the benefits of retiring and blogging is the opportunity it provides me to talk about cures without worrying about being sued for practicing medicine without a license. The pharmaceutical industry and the College of Physicians don’t allow our doctors or anyone else that makes a living in the field of health care to talk about curing anything. Why? It is bad for business.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, the most likely first reaction is fear. My advice is to start researching immediately before commencing conventional medical protocols. There will be a lot of pressure to listen to your physician and “go with” the protocol recommended by your oncologist. I’m not suggesting that you ignore a standard medical solution, but at least do your homework before taking “their” word for it. It is your life and leaving the outcome solely in the hands of protocols that have been proven over and over again to fail doesn’t make sense to me. There is no reason for anyone to die from cancer in this day and age if you take the proper steps in prevention, early detection, and following protocols that do work.

The medical community has been using the same old ineffective cut/burn/poison….oops…surgery/radiation/chemotherapy treatments for 60 years. They don’t work. Even the medical definition of a cure is extremely suspect. If someone lives 5 years, the medical community calls it a cure. They don’t take into consideration the quality of life during those 5 years and if someone dies afterwards….oh well…they made it 5 years so it is a cure. We as a society should expect better!

Where to start your research about cancer treatment alternatives?

Before you do anything, take time to breathe and collect your thoughts. Someone that has been diagnosed with cancer has probably had the disease for two years or more, and the diagnosis is rarely an announcement of imminent death. You will likely find yourself wanting to “do something” immediately, but you have time to do some research, to talk to the people you love, and to talk to people who have had experience with the disease. Once you regain your composure, you will be in much better position to make the best decision for yourself. Don’t assume that the medical community has the best solutions, even if the doctors tell you otherwise.

I recommend that you start your research by reading the book “Knockout” by Suzanne Somers. While I find certain parts of the book tedious, Suzanne has been able interview a number of brilliant doctors that are curing cancer. Part 2 of the book details the history and cancer fighting strategies of Dr. Burzynski, Dr. Gonzalez, Dr. Forsythe, and Dr. Taguchi. It is compelling stuff and a must read for anyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

If you think I’m just one of these “Alternative Medicine Nuts”, you are entitled to your opinion. My father was a physician, so I grew up with a great deal of respect for Allopathic/Western medicine. I have come to learn that alternative medicine can be extremely beneficial and I personally think that a combination of both types of medicine offers the best chance to live a long and healthy life.

Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, a personal medical advisor to President Bill Clinton and the author of “Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease” tells us that we can not only prevent prostate cancer, but we can also reverse it with the proper alkaline diet. Given the fact that essentially cancer is cancer, and the names of the disease are changed to recognize the location of the cancer, the information provided by Dr. Esselstyn is very encouraging. You can read my article and see an interview of President Clinton and Dr’s Esselstyn and Ornish here:

I have spoken to many people over the last few years that have “cured” their cancer by drinking alkaline water. The following are links to articles that I have written on this blog about some of those people that I have personally spoken with who have cured their cancer:

Preventing Cancer

It makes a lot more sense to me to prevent cancer than to deal with it. It reminds me of the old Fram Oil Filter commercials where the auto mechanic says “you can pay me now, or pay me later” which was intended to inform the public that if you don’t change the oil in your car, you will end up with a much more costly problem down the road. What could be more costly than being faced with cancer?

I have already mentioned Suzanne Somers book “Knockout”. The book includes 9 different chapters, each dedicated to the protocols used by 7 different doctors plus two other leading authorities on their protocols for preventing ….read it!

Dr. Ornish’s book “Spectrum” and Dr. Robert Young’s “The pH Miracle” series of books both provide superb information on how to battle disease by means of a healthy diet.

Diet: All the books mentioned above provide details of how to eat your way to being healthy, and I recommend them all. There is some research that indicates a genetic predisposition to cancer. While that may be true, the reality is that our world is full of toxins that cause cancer. Most of us eat and drink and breathe toxins for our entire lives. The good news is that if we can convert to an organic diet of fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds, and we live in the country or filter our air, we can drastically reduce the chance of getting cancer.

Stress: According to Dr. Mercola’s article, the CDC attributes 85% of health related issues can be related to stress. Once again, we can take measures as we can exercise and reduce the amount of stress in our lives.

Antioxidants: Feeling a bit more hopeful? It looks like we can do an awful lot about preventing cancer on our own. Now, here comes the next problem. We require food (nutrients) and air (oxygen) in order to provide the fuel for the trillions of cells in our body. Obviously, oxygen is essential to our survival. Now here is where it gets tricky. While we require oxygen to survive, about 2% of the oxygen that we breathe doesn’t get used up. For athletes that participate in aerobic activities, the number can be as high as 20%. The unused oxygen is dangerous, which is part of the reason why we see so many of our superb athletes leave us too early in life. How can something that is essential to our survival be dangerous?

I apologize for this paragraph being a bit scientific, but I have tried to make it as simple and short as possible. Oxygen atoms themselves are unstable because they only have 6 electrons in their outer valence orbit instead of the 8 electrons required to be stable. Therefore, the unused oxygen atoms are “electron hungry”. We are all familiar with the word “oxidation” which is a process where oxygen attaches to a substance and starts to rot or decay the substance. We see the result of oxidation in real life when the exposed steel on our cars or bridges start to rust. We also see oxidation when attractive copper roofs of building start to turn brown and green over time. Well, the same oxidation process happens in our bodies. We call the unused oxygen atoms “free radicals” and they will do the same thing to healthy cells in our body as they do to our cars. Imagine your healthy cells being attached by free oxygen and what the result might be.

We have good news once again in the form of a solution. The solution is to eat alkaline foods and drink alkaline liquids. The alkaline foods are the same fruits and vegetables that Dr. Esselstyne and so many others recommend. When it comes to drinks, our bodies only require water. Any other liquids generate unwanted calories and force our bodies to excrete unwanted contaminants.

How water helps with cancer

There is a measure for the antioxidant capability of different foods called ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity). There is also a measure of antioxidant capability of liquids called ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential).

I have yet to find a study that compares the effectiveness of the two measures, but I personally believe that the best way to consume antioxidants is through liquids. I base my opinion on the fact that the body is 70% water. As such, it only makes sense to look to water as the best solution. I have also spoken to lots of vegetarians and vegans over the years that were not able to get their bodies alkaline despite their best efforts until they started drinking alkaline water. Personally, I think a combination of healthy eating and consumption of negatively charged ionized water is the best solution.

Drinking alkaline liquids is definitely a better health choice than drinking acidic liquids. Most of us become more and more susceptible to acidosis as time passes. It is a scientific fact that acidosis is the playground of disease because it is impossible for to live in an alkaline environment.

The four links that I provided above in the “Cancer Treatments That Are Working” section of this article are all examples of personal cancer success stories that I have dealt with that have cured their cancer by drinking alkaline water.

I have run into situations where a doctor or a nurse says that ionized water is not recommended during chemotherapy treatments. Based upon my discussions with cancer patients that have been drinking the water during treatments. Their position is that ionized water, which provides antioxidants, work against the strong oxidation properties provided by the drugs used in chemotherapy. I’m not a doctor, but I would have to disagree based upon talking to people that have used negatively charged ionized water to speed up the recovery process following each treatment. You might want to check out the following stories that I have written on the subject:

http://www.waterfyi.com/alkaline-water/ionized-water/antioxidants-such-as-ionized-water-do-not-decrease-the-efficacy-of-chemotherapy/

http://www.waterfyi.com/alkaline-water/ionized-water/breast-cancer-minimizing-the-effects-of-chemotherapy-with-alkaline-ioized-water/

There are no guarantees when it comes to health and especially with cancer treatment. However, I know that if someone I love gets diagnosed with cancer, I will do everything in my power to make sure they start drinking alkaline ionized water and begin eating a strict alkaline diet immediately. If they reject my attempts, I will keep trying if they are that important to me. I would encourage them to seek out and listen to the advice of their doctors if that works for them. However, I believe it is critical that patients also consider and take advantages of the alternatives. In the worst case, the alternatives are healthy food and water which can’t hurt. I will also make sure that they understand the importance or eliminating stress and maintaining a positive attitude. I don’t care what the doctors say, as the results speak for themselves.

  1. Hi great site, thanks

Just wanted to point out that some your links are incorrectly formatted as they have an extra http:// at the beginning ie

    http://http//www.waterfyi.com/alkaline-water/diseases/cancer/war-on/

,directing your viewers to the http://www.http.com site instead

    • Hi Sherman:

Thanks for the heads up. I will go back and check some of the posts. I find that Word Press gets “glitchy” and if I don’t read the article after posting, it can get a bit messy.

      • Hi Rob…Just a heads up…the links in this article still have a double http://.

In the article itself you have correctly written it out with a single http://, but if you look at the status bar of your browser when you hover over the link it is actually pointing to a site with a double http://.
        Thanks Rob

PS Looking forward to the writeup on the new company bringing out the non-electric water ionizer :)

        • Hi Sherman:

Thanks for the heads up. I think I fixed everything. Obviously, the technical side of blogging is not my forte (neither is using a keyboard to get french accents on letters)

The company put their new site up yesterday. They don’t want me to write an article about them at this time.

  2. Hey Rob,

I really liked this article. I have been studying the “Gerson Theraphy” recently and it is
where I first saw mention of alkaline water. This led me on a merry chase around
the Internet learning about the different machines until I landed here. I included the link:

    http://www.gersontreatment.com/why-kangen-water.html

not because of kangen water ‘so-called’, but because the science of alkaline water and the Gerson
protocol are eerily similar in its effect on cells and how they both work to rid us of the causes
of degenerative disease. One using alkalized water, the other freshly pressed juice.
And, I never thought I would say this but Suz. Somers has impressed me her knowledge! Anyway Rob-

    Congrats on a great site,

    Wayne

    • Hi Wayne:

Thanks for the compliment on my site. I appreciate it.

It appears that Suzanne Somers knows a lot about cancer. I’m not sure if she does or not, but she certainly knows the people that do.
