We are all familiar with Parkinson’s Disease, which is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system that is both chronic and progressive. The most common symptom is trembling of the hands, arms, legs, jaw, and face.
There is no cure for Parkinson’s, but levodopa helps in about three quarters of reported cases. Carbidopa is often combined with the levodopa in order to delay the conversion of the levodopa into dopamine until it reaches the brain.
Here is a story that was related to me recently about Parkinson’s. I will leave it up to the person to tell the story… Continue reading

3247324917_419a5772d8So many stories to tell and so little time! I have been getting a lot of requests for diabetes articles, so here is a quick one from a man that called me today. But first, a little background that is very alarming to say the least.

It is estimated that nearly 8% of the Canadian and American population (about 26 million people) have diabetes, of which 90% is of the Type 2 variety. The number of cases doubled between 1990 and 2005, and the Centre for Disease Control has called… Continue reading

During his State of the Union address in January 1971, Richard Nixon declared war on cancer. Here is what he said:

People are starting to refer to alkaline ionized water as Miracle Water. I don’t like the term, as it hints of promotional hype. The reality is that the water helps the body remove acid so that it can heal itself. The real miracle is your body. You just have to give it a chance to work properly.

What started out as a simple blog to share my story about how alkaline ionized water eliminated my acid reflux and arthritis, has evolved into something much more important than I ever imagined. It seems the blog has inspired others to share… Continue reading

It strikes me as ironic that the great stories that I have the privilege to write about come at the expense of others who have suffered through various forms of illness. While this blog is dedicated to educating others about the incredible benefits of drinking water, it is the stories of those who have faced and overcome difficult or even life threatening diseases that provide the real hope to others.

Not everyone wants to share their stories for privacy reasons, which is perfectly understandable. Those that do share their stories have my deepest respect and gratitude, because they can… Continue reading
