My life changed dramatically for the better when I started drinking ionized water more than three years ago. I didn’t know why or how they worked, and to be blunt, I didn’t really care. The water worked and that was all I needed to know.
My only complaint with water ionizers was that the machines seemed to be very expensive for what you got.
When I started selling water ionizers, I was disheartened by the huge price markups. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t begrudge anyone making a living, but come on, the primary reason we were supposed to be doing this was to help others. Making a living is perfectly ok, but when the profits are running in the thousands of dollars, are we really helping our family and friends?
Fast Forward to 2011
After retiring in February 2010, I made this blog my hobby. The blog allowed me to turn up the heat on the pricing issue and on the ethical behaviour of the players in the industry. Making public demands for lower prices and “outing” unsavoury behavior doesn’t make you a lot of friends, but we are seeing lower prices.
We have witnessed a 10% to 20% drop in retail prices from most of distributors of electric water ionizer brands this year. However, the discounts we see on the websites is just the tip of the iceburg.
Breaking Down The $1,000 Barrier
The Antioxidant Filters, which are selling for $299 have filled a need that the public was obviously looking for…..an affordable water ionizer that works.
The introduction of a low cost water ionizer alternative has left the electric water ionizer Dealers scratching their heads and asking questions. Could a machine that doesn’t use electricity actually work? Why have my sales suddenly dried up? Is is worth my while to sell water ionizers anymore?
We have also seen the introduction to the market of the Hybrid electric water ionizer for $895, which you can hook up to a tap, or use like a Brita filter by pouring water into the machine. I recently wrote about the fact that you can purchase the Hybrids for $495 if you do know where to look. The same type of discounts are available for many of the leading brands as well.
Paying retail prices for an electric water ionizer these days is just not necessary if you do your homework. I’m seeing major cracks in retail prices of electric water ionizers across the board these days. Even though Enagic closely controls inventory and pricing, you can still find deals on new Enagic machines and you can find great deals on used Enagic product. Big Brother can only control so much for so long.
Electric water ionizer dealers are beginning to see the writing on the wall as their sales plummet. The Dealers that want to remain in the business are investing low cost alternatives while others are just walking away. When a structural shift takes place in technology, that is when the real discounts begin. The major price decline that should have happened several years ago is now becoming a reality.
How to Purchase a Leading Electric Water Ionizer Brand for Under $1,000
If you want to purchase an electric water ionizer, try not to get fixated on a specific brand because they all work.
Treat the review sites on the internet as advertisements, because that is what they are.
Don’t get fooled by the MLM “business opportunity” programs that promise riches, because nobody is getting rich in the industry these days except the Distributors that keep selling the “business opportunity” dream.
Contact Dealers of various brands and multiple Dealers of the same brand if you decide you must purchase a specific brand. Negotiate hard. The Dealers treat every sale as a “one shot” deal, so they will continue to lower prices as long as there is a profit. They will all try to convince you that their product is special or their service is special, because that is how they make a living.
If you want a great deal on a water ionizer but don’t like the negotiating process, contact me and I will direct you to people that will offer you low prices right away. These peope either want to get out of the business and are unloading inventory, or they are more interested in helping others than maximizing profits. Either way, purchasing a leading brand electric water ionizer that delivers a full range of pH output is now a reality….and that is a good thing.
So far, I have been contacted by various Dealers offering huge price discounts. I won’t post their contact information because they would lose their Dealershop privileges for offering discounts. However, if you contact me, I will pass your information on to the dealers so that they can contact you. It is important to note that Dealers are not allowed to advertise below retail prices, but the can sell for any price they choose. The follow machines can be purchased at massive discounts to their suggested retail prices:
Tyent 7070 Turbo
Tyent 9090 Turbo
Chanson VS70
Chanson Miracle
EOS Platinum
Jupiter Venus
Enagic SD501 (reconditioned)

Hi Rob:
I am one of the distributors that you talked about in this article. I would
greatly appreciate it if you could refer customers that are looking for
significant discounts on Tyent Ionizers. You can contact me at
http://www._______.com or 800-___-____. Thanks!
Tyent 9090 Turbo Dealer
Hi Tyent 9090 Turbo Dealer:
Thanks for your comment and your offer to sell the Turbo 9090 for $1,995. That means that the “Real” Retail price is $1,995 despite the fact that Tyent USA lists the same product on Special for $2,995. That means you are selling slightly above your cost, for which I commend you.
Now, if we could just get Tyent USA to lower the price they sell to Dealers by $1,000, which they could afford to do and still make a profit, then far more people could actually afford the machines.
I eliminated your name and contact information from your message so that Tyent wouldn’t revoke your Dealership privileges. If anyone contacts me looking for a huge discount on the Tyent Turbo 9090, I will pass their information on to you.
Hi Rob
Thanks for your blog , it’s really good work . Looking for best price and services provides by water ionizer under 1000 $ , I found the Water Ionizer BionTech BTM200N from Biontech ( Biontech Co.,Ltd., company of Alkaline water ionizer in S.Korea ).
What do you think about it ?
Regards
Philippe
Hi Philippe:
I have not tested any of the Bion Tech products, but I checked out their website and I have seen the machines advertised on Ali Baba. The machine you are promoting is a 5 plate electric water ionizer that retails for about $1,000. I assume the machine works, as the technology is simple and has been around for a long time.
The machines that I talked about in my article are 7 plate leading brand machines that retail for $2,000 or more. The machines are being heavily discounted. The fact that a 7 plate machine retails for $2,000 doesn’t necessarily make it any better than a 5 plate machine that sells for $1,000. The leading brands definitely have the advantage of a more widespread distribution, verifiable and provable track records, and both tech support and warranty setups.
Hi Rob, I’ve been calling and trying to find a perfect water ionizer, but there are hundreds of brand and co. out there and each one talked about different things. I’m very confused and tired of searching. Could you tell me what do you recommend or what do you use and perhaps get the best deal for me?
This machine will be used for two people max, and I want to be able to have both alkaline and acid water.
Thank you so much for your time!
Aisha.
Hi Aisha:
Don’t feel bad about being confused because most people feel the same way. Water ionizers are amazing, but the industry is a mess. I have been trying to clean it up, but the boneheads that run the industry seemed determined to drive it into the ground.
I don’t make recommendations on the blog. I don’t want anyone saying that I favor any company, but the main reason is that I need to know more about your needs and priorities. If you email me at contact@waterfyi.com with your phone number and a convenient time to call, I will call you and ask you a bunch of questions. Based upon your answers, I will direct you to the appropriate dealer who is offering the best price.
Rob- Do you know anything about the Life 9100 ionizers? Thanks!
Hi Dave:
I have never tested the Life Ionizer products. The owner did me dirty when I first investigated getting involved in the business and I have never trusted him since. I don’t have any comment other than I have heard from many sources that their machines have a very high return ratio due to malfunction. After saying that, I assume if you get a good one, it will work.
Can you recommend a more affordable water ioniser that’s comparable to novita. Novita price is at $2799.
That’s a lot of money for me.
Hi Roselle:
I apologize in advance for this rant.
I checked out the Novita website. The Novita site exemplifies everything that I hate about sellers of alkaline water ionizers. The site offers all of the old BS (Bad Science) that the alkaline industry has been preaching about for years. The site discusses the benefits of smaller water molecules (aka microclustering) and making the body more alkaline among other things. That is pure BS. The medical and scientific communities have never supported the BS.
It looks to me like the machine on their website costs about $300 all-in to make.
If you want to receive the health benefits that the alkaline water industry falsely takes credit for, take a look at the HIM2 (above counter) or HIM3 (under counter) hydrogen infusion machines sold by Brilliantz (www.tryh2.brilliantz.com). The HIM unit are in a completely different league than alkaline water ionizers in terms of delivering consistent levels of hydrogen gas (H2) infused water and they retail for $2,000. The technology and science make alkaline water ionizers obsolete. If you learn about Brilliantz and become a member, you can save a significant amount of money off the retail price. If any of this appeals to you, let me know and I will be happy to help you.
I recently joined Brilliantz as their products are the best in the industry, their prices are fair, and they make the effort to educate their people as they are a “NO BS” company. Joining Brilliantz came as a big surprise to me as I have easily been able to avoid offers from many water companies over the years.
