I would hold off buying an alkaline machine for now. I’m expecting that the first hydrogen machine in America will be announced in the next week or two. All of the health benefits that the alkaline industry has been claiming for the last 20 years are a direct result of the molecular hydrogen that some of the machines produce.
People get confused between alkaline and alkalinity. Alkaline means a high pH which may or may not have anything to do with alkalinity (the ability to buffer). The alkaline water industry is in for a rude awakening in the future as people begin to understand that “alkaline” is meaningless when it comes to health benefits.
