Beating Parkinson’s Disease with Ionized Water

We are all familiar with Parkinson’s Disease, which is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system that is both chronic and progressive. The most common symptom is trembling of the hands, arms, legs, jaw, and face.
There is no cure for Parkinson’s, but levodopa helps in about three quarters of reported cases. Carbidopa is often combined with the levodopa in order to delay the conversion of the levodopa into dopamine until it reaches the brain.
Here is a story that was related to me recently about Parkinson’s. I will leave it up to the person to tell the story in her own words (with a few minor corrections).

“I have had Parkinson’s for about 8 years, and the Disease has steadily progressed. A friend offered me a sample of alkaline ionized water in April of 2009, after telling me that there was evidence that Parkinson’s patients had been helped by the water. I liked the taste and texture, so I began to drink it every day.
Prior to drinking the water, I was a member of a bowling team. I was not very good, but I enjoyed it. I was always worried about falling as I had been experiencing dizzy spells and had problems with my coordination. I never fell but there were plenty of times that I thought I would.
Once I began to drink ionized water, I noticed positive changes. It was hard for me to believe, because I have had the disease for so long, but my symptoms began to improve. I finished the bowling season in May, and my ability to move around with confidence improved each week. My score didn’t improve much, but my enjoyment of the game increased. I found myself able to move to the ball return and deliver the ball with confidence. That may not sound like a big thing to people who don’t suffer from Parkinson’s, but it made a huge difference to me.
I recently purchased my own water ionizer for convenience, and to take advantage of the water being as fresh as possible. It is important to drink the water fresh, as the ORP is the most effective when the water first comes out of the machine. You learn this stuff as you go.
Recently I visited my doctor at the University of Miami. I told him of the positive developments once I started drinking the water. He told me that if I wasn’t his patient, he would have a hard time diagnosing me with Parkinson’s. He said that I was certainly no longer the typical Parkinson’s patient. He requested that I send him a link about the water and of course I obliged.
Every day I seem to be improving. My hope in sharing this letter is that others may experience similar improvements, and of their symptoms and the quality of life for them will improve like mine.”

I would like to thank the lady from Florida for sharing her story. It is great to hear every success story, and hopefully this forum will allow others to learn from her experience.
This story provides yet another example of a physician learning about the benefits of the water from a patient. While many doctors choose not to listen to anyone except their pharmaceutical reps, it is encouraging that some are willing to listen and learn. I believe that it is inevitable that doctors will learn more and more about the water as the evidence of the benefits can’t be ignored. Doctors may never be able to prescribe the water due to potential repercussions from the College of Physicians, but that doesn’t prevent a physician from suggesting that their patients do some independent research.
Don’t be afraid to tell your physician your story. The more the doctors hear from us, the more likely they will be to take the time to learn. One way or another, the word will spread over time, but it would sure help if the people that we trust with our most private issues would also trust us.

  1. Is there any way to find out more about how much per day she drank and which device she used? I know you don’t support any specific devices, bur I thought I would ask since she specifically mentions Parkinson’s and that is what I am dealing with as well.

    Thank you.

    • Hi Robert:

I answered your questions with a personal email. I want to stay away from public endorsements or criticisms of products or companies. Anyone can feel free to contact me personally about such issues.

      • I have been suffering with parkinson’s disease since my nervous breakdown the day my father died sept 2006. That’s when the twitching in my right began violently. The twitch is gone but now shakings are in both of my hands now and i’m an artist. I live on a fixed limited income in Fayetteville Arkansas, but I hail from Chicago Illinois. I started with 1 pill then a year later 2 pills now 3 pills going on 4 soon. How cheap can I get this ionized alkiline water? And where? Please respond. Yours, rfg.

        • Hi Roy:

The lowest price that I know of to achieve restructured ionized water is with a Hydrogen stick (I find the following site to be very informative

I find the Hydrogen sticks to be good for travel, but inconvenient for everyday use. The good news is that they can be purchased at the site listed above for $69.95. The pH and ORP output from the Hydrogen sticks is quite mild, which is not a bad thing for ongoing usage, but you may find that they don’t produce strong enough results for you. You may find that you need to use more than one at a time to achieve stronge. The leading edge thinkers in the industry believe that the benefits of restructured water are due to stable ionization created by hydrogen ions from the presence of minerals in the water. The hydrogen sticks create their hydrogen ions as water runs through or comes in contact with magnesium.

The next lowest price that I know of is the antioxidant filter offered by Alkastream ( in the USA or in Canada). The unit tested very well in my lab. I’m a big fan of the antioxidant filters. The price of the Alkastream unit is $399. There is a MLM company in the USA that has an antioxidant filter called the Revolutionizer that they sell for $499 to $599. I haven’t had a chance to test it yet.

Next, you get to electronic water ionizers, which have a great range in prices form $1,000 up to $4,000. I don’t recommend really cheap units as there is a reason they are cheap. If your source water is good (medium to slightly hard water), all of the electonic machines will work. The best prices can be obtained from websites like Ebay and Kijiji. Don’t be put off by the advertised “retail” prices, as much lower prices can be negotiated.

          • I’m certainly going to look into it and figure out on how to purchase them. Thanx ROB. YOURS: ROY

      • hi, can you email me the question above too?

        • Hi Pio:

I don’t know what you are referring to. The comments come into my blog chronologically, which means that unless you are specific in referring to an article or a comment, I have no idea what you are asking? I would be happy to answer if I knew what to write about.

      • I am interested in knowing how much water this lady with Parkinson’s took and also what company she got her ionizer from.

        • Hi Barbara:

I can’t remember as I wrote that article a long time ago. If I had to guess, I would expect that it was an EOS Genesis Platinum or a spinoff like the KYK unit that was made by EOS. It doesn’t really matter what machine she used as they all do the same thing.

I don’t recall how much water she drank. In general, people that are trying to fight a disease drink a fair amount of ionizer water each day. That might mean as little as 2 liters per day up to 4 liters per day

  2. would also like to know the device used. am considering a device to decrease the copper content of drinking water; would be great to combine that feature with the alkalizing ionizer if such a device exists. thanks in advance. madelyn

    • Hi Madelyn:

Thanks for joining in the discussion.

As I mentioned to Robert in the last comment, I don’t talk about specific brands on this blog. It gets more and more difficult to not talk about brands, because so many people seem to want to know. I just want this blog to remain 100% unbiased even though there are definitely specific brands that work better than others under specific conditions. While my stubborness in refusing to get specific may be a pain to some, to the best of my knowledge, this remains the only site on the internet that I’m aware of that deals exclusively with water without trying to sell anything.

I will contact you directly now that I have your email so that I can answer your “product specific” questions. Once you have the information, you will be able to find the machine online on various websites, or choose a different machine that may be tailored to your specific needs. I don’t sell water ionizers, so you don’t have to worry about a sales pitch. I measure success by how many people I can help by getting them started drinking the water.
I can tell you that it doesn’t matter which brand was used, as ionized water is ionized water

    • HI…I too would very much like to know what unit she used. I was recently diagnosed with stage two Parkinson’s. Thank you!

      • Hi Michael:

The machine was the old KYK that was manufactured by EOS. It doesn’t matter which machine you buy, as the leading brands all do the same thing. For that matter, you can get the same health benefits from the new Antioxidant Filters which cost $400. You really can’t make a bad choice.

  3. Hi Rob,

I’m a skeptic, and this is the first time I’ve read about ionized water. Is it possible for me to contact the lady from Florida directly?

    • Hi Rick:

Your skepticism is understandable. The water ionizer industry in North America is in its infancy despite the fact the machines have been here for 8 years. In Asia, the machines have been around for 30 years and are widely accepted.

I will send you a private email so that you can provide me with your telephone number. I will then give you a call and get you hooked up.

  4. I am interested in reading some reports about how Ionized water helps with Parkinson’s. Do you knoiw where I came obtain some?

    • Hi:

As far as I know, there is only anecdotal evidence available. I have learned to pay attention to ancedotal evidence over the years. The trick is it veryify that the anecdotal evidence is honest.

    • Hi Steve,
My husband has had Parkinson’s over 15 years and has done very well with nutrition, chiropractic and an intravenous drip of glutathione (orally doesn’t work). He tried the water but didn’t give it a chance because it made him feel sick to his stomach.
If you want to get some ideas that are alternative to go with medication (and to keep the medication at a minimum), email me at

      • Hi Joan:

Thanks for providing us with the insight of your experience.

  5. I have heard alot about ionizers as far back as 20 years ago and only recently has the craze about alkalinity gone into full production with everyone promoting it. I too would like to know which ionizer to buy and the recommended dosage. I thought I read somewhere that you should not drink that water for any appreciable amount of time or am I mixing that up with Deionized water?

    • Hi Radiorara:

      Thanks for your comments.

Water ionizers have been around for 30 years in Asia and in America for 8 years. It seems crazy to me that the knowledge of the machines in not universal in America like it is in Asia. I started this blog to do my part in spreading the word.

I don’t promote brands or companies on the blog because I don’t want to be accused of being biased. The problem with the water ionizer industry is that the web sites are all totally biased which only serves to confuse people . If you email me your phone number and a convenient time to call, I will call you (thanks to free calling from my new Magic Jack). We can discuss your water conditions and your needs. Based upon your situation, I will provide my thought on which product might serve you best. You can then look for then search for best deal on the internet. However, I recommend that you focus your serach on finding knowledgeable people who put your interests first as opposed to finding the lowest price.

  6. My husband and I purchased the Enagic SD501 in June and already are seeing normal BG readings for my husband’s Type II and I am having to lower my intake of insulin by pump for my Type I. We found your site because of our concern for our brother-in-law with Parkinson’s. We also have many other friends and family with issues we are sure can be helped. Would you be able to send us links to testimonials on: migraines, ADD & ADHD, autism, acid reflux, and fibromyalgia. Thank you for your manner of sharing and for anything you can help us with. Our dietician is open and we believe our doctor will be at our next appointment. Keep up the good work.

    • Hi Anita:

Thank you so much for contributing to our discussion on diabetes.

When I was selling water ionizers, I could only communicate to the people that called in. There are a limited number of hours in a day and there was only one of me to go around.

I started this blog in order to reach out to others so that they can learn about the water and make informed decsions. I can only do so much by myself when it comes to relating stories about the water as I’m only one person. I, or more specifically this blog, need people to contribut their stories so that others can benefit from reading about the experiences of others. The primary goals of this blog are to educate and to share stories without concern for being censored by the authorities. If the authorities have a problem with the information on this blog, they can deal with me.

Please share your story with all of us. I’m talking about providing details of the before and after conditions and results. I need to be able to verify the information so that people can trust what they read, which means I need personal information such as name, location, and contact information. I won’t post any of that information unless people are willing to share it.

  7. I thank you so much for this question and answer website. I constantly am searching the net for helpfulness for Parkinsons Disease, which my husband haas had for 7 years now. This idea about ionized water interests me alot (haven’t discussed it with my husband yet, but intend to).

Our water is from our own well and quite hard. I would like more information from you…IF and WHEN you have time for an email to me. Would be nice to know what kind of ionizer was used in the very first article posted here. My husband also has diabets II and wouldn’t it be great tthat he might be helped in those issues as well, by using ionized water.

What can one do to try this kind of water for just a while, without going into the big expense of a filtering machine right away? I do wonder how long it might take to see any results from this water…perhaps hard to figure that out, huh? Everyone is different.

THANKS for whatever input you can give us!

    • Hi Betty:

I don’t remember which ionizer was used, but it really doesn’t matter because all electric water ionizers do the same thing. The “differences” that the public is made aware of are predominantly the product of the marketing people.

You might want to try an antioxidant filter (non-electric water ionizer) because the hardness of your well water won’t affect the machine. Hard water plays havoc with electric water ionizers.

Type II diabetes could be completely eliminated in 6 months to a year if people would consume an alkaline diet (including alklaine water), get half an hour of exercise per day, and reduce their levels of stress. The “cure” is available to everyone.

Where do you live? If it is in Canada or the USA, Australia, Asia, or Europe, it should be fairly simple to find a dealer that will let you sample the water. If you don’t have someone nearby to share the water, I would suggest you try a hydrogen stick (available on the internet from $29 to $79) or an antioxidant filter (available on the internet for $329 to $499).

As you say, everyone is different. Result definitely vary from one person to another. I received incredible benefits within days while it took a few months for my wife. I think it has more to do with how acidic you are before you start. I was a terrible eater (and not a whole lot better now) while my wife had a much better diet. If someone has an alkaline diet to begin with, the need for a water ionizer is much less.

  8. i have had parkinson for 12 years and had a dbs procedure 2 ykears ago because my neurologist said that there was nothing else that he could do for me. the dbs has really helped me greatly. i am also constantly looking for something additional to help me. has anyone that has used the ionized water had a dbs? i try to diet, exercise, and do a few supplements. i am 67 years old and my father died at 87 from alzheimers (he had it for 7 years and for at least his last 3 or 4 years could not talk or recognize anybody). this is the first blog that i have ever responded to and i really appreciate rob for spending so much time with it — and of course the other respondents!!

    • Hi Larry:

      Thanks for writing in.

I don’t have much experience with Parkinson’s as I focus primarily on cancer and arthritis.

I hope that some of our readers and contributors can help you out.

  9. At age 64 I had a Pontine stroke that is usually fatal or leaves people in a vegetable-like condition.
By a miracle, I survived this ordeal and share with everyone how my water by Enagic Medical machine and my Vegan Food Diet has improved my health so very much! I was in a wheelchair at one time and by the
Grace of God, am gaining my walking ability back little by little. If I can be on any encouragement to any stroke survivor, please email me. It is very important to have good mentors to coach you to keep going!

    • Hi Grandma h2o:

What a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing

  10. I would love to speak with the lady from Florida who got so much help for her Parkinson’s. What do I need to do? Give you my telephone number? This could be what will convince my husband that we should get a water machine. Thanks!

    • Hi Barbara:

I don’t have that information for you. I wrote the article some time ago and I don’t have her information. Even if I did have the information, I would not pass it out to others unless I had been given instructions to do so. I appreciate those that share their stories and as far as I’m concerned, that is enough.

  11. I hade parkingson for almost 8 years ..I was very happy to hear about that product and would liketo get more info.
Please send me the contact of the lady or the phone number to buy the product.
    Thank you much.
    My rgards.

  12. Where can I buy Ionise water ..i do have a parkinson for 9 years and would like tp try it.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Rodolfo:

Where do you live? If you let me know where you live, I can hopefully recommend someone to you, or perhaps one of our readers will contact you.

      • I too would like info on where to purchase (on or off line). Husband has early onset Parkinson’s . Would like to now what brand and machine you personally recommend.

        • Hi Sally:

The guys at offer half price water ionizers to cancer patients. Try contacting them to see if they will help you out. They carry several different brands. Choose the brand that fits for you as they all work.

On a personal note, I have converted to natural water ionizers as opposed to the electric units. The natural units make more sense on a number of fronts and it doesn’t hurt that they sell for a fraction of the price. I joined one of the natural companies recently ( as I believe they are doing it right. They are way out in front of the field in terms of research and product development.

  13. I was diagnosed of Parkinson’s disease following a neurological examination and other series of tests, my symptoms first appeared in February 2014 tremor in both limbs, rigid muscle, impaired posture.. all medication prescribed were not working and i sadly took off from my job, being a single mother with two kids it was almost a hopeless situation. In September 2016, i read about Dr Abumere herbal center in a health forum, this herbal center have successful parkinson’s disease herbal treatment and treatment for other list of terminal diseases, i contacted the herbal center via their email and purchased the parkinson’s disease herbal remedy. I received the parkinson’s disease herbal remedy via courier and immediately commenced usage. I used the remedy for 14 days, all my symptoms including tremor gradually disappeared till i almost forgot i had the disease, i have started working again, thanks to Dr Abumere herbal center. abumereherbalcentre@ gmail. com Parkinson’s disease is not a death sentence, don’t die believing there is no cure, its a final breakthrough for all living with parkinson’s disease.

    • Hi Granny Bee:

      Thanks for the info.

I try to keep an open mind, but your Dr. Abumere story doesn’t pass the BS (Bad Science) test for me.

I tried to find information on your Doctor but I couldn’t find him listed anywhere other than by email.

I did read online that he seems to miraculously cure Parkinson’s, STD’s, COPD. Anyone that is that amazing would likely attract attention beyond a few readers sending in testimonials.

  14. (Must read)
I am 64 years of age and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 3 years ago. I experienced shakiness and general reduction of control and tremor on my left hand. I took pramipexole dihydrochloride three times daily for 7 months. In 2016 I started on a herbal formula i purchased from NewLife Herbal Clinic, i read alot of positive reviews about their successful Parkinson’s disease herbal treatment. Merely 3 weeks of the PD herbal formula usage my left hand tremor seized followed by other symptoms, i used the Parkinsons disease herbal formula for 8 weeks all my symptoms were reversed. (visit www. newlifeherbalclinic. weebly. com or email newlifeherbalclinic@ gmail. com). Final breakthrough for all suffering from Parkinsons disease… Coleman Sanchez

    • Hi Coleman:

Your post sounds like a blatant marketing effort to me.

You start off with “Must read”

Then you state that your Parkinson’s disappeared in 3 weeks. That is amazing if true. If it were true, I would think the company website would have you featured on its testimonial page and yet you are not there. When I did check their testimonial page, there was a comment supposedly from Ashton Kutchner asking how to buy it.

Your effort and the website reek of BS (Bad Science)
