When any alkaline substance enters the stomach, the cell in the walls of the stomach will immediately start producing HCl (Hydrochloric Acid) so that the contents of the stomach can be broken down. As HCl is created, the byproduct that is automatically created is a bicarbonate, which enters the small intestine. Everything that enters the small intestine must be alkaline. So, the more alkaline the diet, the more alkaline bicarbonates are created. It is one extra step than most people think about, but it is a necessary step.

From my personal testing, I believe that alkaline water bypasses the stomach very rapidly. My reasoning is that I can drink 48 oz of alkaline water with no discomfort at all and no feeling of bloating. When I drink 48 oz of tap or bottled water, I feel very bloated for about 40 minutes. I have tried this same test on many friends and they all experience the same symptoms.

The researchers are correct that the blood will adjust the pH level if things get out of line. What happens is that the blood will typically steal calcium or magnesium from bones etc or even iodine from the thyroid to raise the pH level in the blood. The result is extremely harmful to the body over time. It is better to eat an alkaline diet or drink alkaline liquids so that the body and its fluids can maintain a natural homeostasis without disruption.

From my own personal experience and from having spoken with hundreds of other people suffering from arthritis, I willingly give a full endorsement to the benefits of ionized water. You can also achieve the same results from an alkaline diet, but it is much more difficult to achieve.

Before I started drinking the water, I found that taking Glucosamine or chondroitin didn’t help me at all.

I was always sceptical of alkaline water because when it hits the acidic environment of the stomach it will be changed. As well researchers say that our body mechanism balances the blood and fluids out to a normal PH range for us.

What input can you give. I am starting to get arthritic pains especially in my fingers. Can reduce using MSM, Glucosamine and chondroitin but you seem to have found gd results with the water.

You and many others are in the same position in terms of knowing the product works, and also being aware of the ethics of some of the players in the industry. The entire industry has been compromised because of the behaviour of certain individuals. You are not alone when you mention it is hard to decide who, if anyone you can trust.

If I had to pick one company in the electric water ionizer industry to trust, it would be IonWays. While they are far from being angels, they are the best of the crop in my opinion. Now that they have started working with EOS, I think they finally have a high end product to work with. I wish they would have chosen the EOS Platinum 7 plate machine to work with because it does the same thing as the new 9 plate machine but for a lot less money. If your interest lies primarily in helping others as opposed to the profit side of the equation, I would encourage you to investigate the new antioxidant filters.

Everybody asks me all the time if I have a hidden agenda. My wife asks me all the time when I’m going to start to develop an agenda because she thinks I’m nuts doing all of this work without making money:) My agenda continues to be to inform the public about the benefits of ionized water. Unfortunately, I feel it is necessary to point out the indescretions of owners who are holding back the industry so that the public can make informed decisions based upon facts.

I have talked to a number of people that have had good rusults when they started drinking alkaline water or changing to an alkaline diet. I prefer the use of alkaline water and and alkaline diet. Doing one without the other is a bit self-defeating.

Please keep your doctor and us informed of your progress. Our medical profession needs to learn from us because they don’t have scientific studies to draw upon or pharmaceutical sales reps pushing the products.
